guzar gayi hai jo dil per kisi se kia kehna
hawa e shaam use chand herf ja kehna

gaya tha dhoondne sachhi muhabbaton k sadaf
jise qubool na tha habs ko hawa kehna

wo khushboo'on ka musaafir wo roshni ka safeer
kahin mile to hamari use duaa kehna

na shehar apna raha na shehar wale hi
tumhare baad sabhi kuch badal gaya kehna

sitam zareef hain kehdaingi saari basti se
hawaoon se na kabhi dil ka maajra kehna

jo roshni k luterey hain aise logon ko
humare shehar main lazim hua khuda kehna

kabhi to chain mile jaagte kuwaarr'on ko
kabhi to bhool paro gher ka raasta kehna
