Aaj ki raat yaadoN kay kuch mehmaaN aanay waalay haiN


Aaj udaasi nay phir chheRaa hai saaz
Aaj dard phir kuch sunaayega
Tanhaayiii nay baaNdhay haiN ghuNgroo
Aaj waqt bhi thahar jaayega


ChaaNd ! apni chaaNdni idhar rakh jaanaa
Aanay haiN aaj kuchh bhoolay huay say chehray
Ashko ! aaj tum bhi ji bhar kay beh lenaa
Behal jaayeN aisay hi shaayad ahsaasoN kay safeenay
Naghmo !Aaj qadam saMbhal saMbhal kay rakhna
Aaj ki raat khwaaboN kay naam hai
In lamhoN ka hai chalan aisaa
Ki aaj tarpaygi takhleeq lefz dar lafz
Khaamoshi ka zehr subko pilaayaa jaayega


Aaj ki raat zindagi pay bhaari hai
Aaj jalaiNgay khwaahishoN kay alaav
HaNstay haNstay hoga aaj umeedoN ka qatl
Meri zindagi aaj phir mayzbaan bani hai
Woh baras jab jazbaat nay li thi pehli angRaayii
Us baras ki yaad aaj mehmaan bani hai


Woh door ufaq pay uthtay haiN ghubaar
MehmaanoN kay qaafily pahuNchnay waalay haiN
Dard-e-dil ko saMbhaaluN ab main
Ai faza'oN tum hawaaoN pay likh lena
BehoshioN main nazm jo banaa loon ab main
